<p>Join the risk team which is responsible for real-time risk measurement and analysis of trader positions as well as daily reporting and limit monitoring. The process is based on various risk methodologies and metrics including Interest Rate Risk, Basis Risk, FX Risk, Economic Capital, Enterprise Stress Testing, Value at Risk and Expected Shortfall analysis.</p>
<p>The Head of Risk will be responsible for measuring and monitoring the market risk exposures taken by the company and ensure that they are managed within its risk appetite.</p>
<p>Responsibilities will be varied and will encompass risk measurement and reporting, intraday supervision and monitoring of positions and development of risk systems and methodologies. The position will seek to ensure that processes, controls and management information packs are maintained in accordance with both industry and regulatory best practice. The role will be responsible for the line management, organisation and personal development of a successful department ensuring people in the team understand the control framework and how their work relates to the Group goals.</p>

<p><strong>What you'll be involved in:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Management of the Risk department.</li>
<li>Ensuring Market Risk policies are appropriate and kept up to date with market and regulatory environment</li>
<li>Oversight of the monitoring and analysis of market and liquidity risks (e.g. VaR, stress testing, P&L investigation, new product & market developments).</li>
<li>Reporting to the Risk committee. (e.g. back testing analysis, detailed long term analysis).</li>
<li>Working with the regulatory team in areas such as stress modelling, KCMG, NPR.</li>
<li>Management and oversight of risk controls, including real time monitoring, around electronic platforms.</li>
<li>Maintaining up to date knowledge of all relevant regulations pertaining to market and liquidity risk that apply to all the relevant jurisdictions.</li>
<li>Review, aggregate and provide independent second line opinion on Market Risk reporting for inclusion in Executive and Board level reporting.</li>
<li>Ad hoc tasks as required by senior management.</li>

<p><strong>What we need from you:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Work Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Extended practical experience of a senior risk role with a focus on fixed income and equity options</li>
<li>A broad knowledge of listed derivatives.</li>
<li>Detailed technical understanding of Option theory and associated Greeks.</li>
<li>Understanding of trading strategies</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of risk-related regulations (e.g. KCMG/NPR) and their application.</li>
<li>Designing and developing market risk models.</li>
<li>Designing Market risk policy & procedure documents.</li>
<li>Confident problem solver with proven analytical ability who is comfortable analysing large data sets</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>University educated with minimum of a 2.1 Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, Masters is preferred.</li>
<li>Studies to have focused on numerical subjects, (e.g. Engineering, Sciences, Mathematics)</li>
</ul>
